This Is How Much Money You’ll Need To Take The Family To A Lions Game
The Detroit Lions are starting the 2025-2026 season Sunday, on the road against the Green Bay Packers.
Then for Week 2, the Lions return home to Ford Field to take on the Chicago Bears who are coached by former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
The game would be fun to watch in person but for many Lions fans who want to take the family it's not a realistic option.
Detroit Lions Have The Most Expensive NFL Ticket
As a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, seeing the teams incredible turnaround under head coach Dan Campbell still doesn't seem real.
But with the end of the "same old lions" comes a pricey setback.
For the 2nd year in a row, the Detroit Lions have the most expensive ticket in the NFL.
A recent study by bookies.com found that a family of four will spend $1,770 on average for the cheapest Lions tickets on the secondary market.
That is more than $300 higher than the next most expensive team, the Philadelphia Eagles who are reigning Super Bowl Champions.
Other things not included in this study that could add up to even more money include:
Parking: Prices are going to be cheaper the farther away you park, but you can still expect to spend anywhere from $10-$50.
Then when you make your way inside Ford Field you'll need to feed the family.
Food: Getting four drinks and four hotdogs will set you back another $50-$75.
Want a beer? You might need to take out a small loan.
I understand the increase in ticket prices is because of supply and demand, But I still hate that many lifelong Lions fans won't be able to see the team in person now that they're finally playing well.
