Nearly everyone in Michigan will be glued to the TV screen Saturday at 8 p.m. as the Lions play the Washington Commanders in their first-ever playoff game ranked as the #1 seed. Lions-mania has only grown in stature all season and is at a height not seen before in this fanbase.

This fanfare has bolstered record Lions merchandise sales. Everyone wants to show their #OnePride and now that hype has spread to local law enforcement who have temporarily changed their rules to allow Lions attire while on the job.

According to the Detroit Police Department's official uniform guidelines, officers are typically allowed to wear either a black/pewter flex baseball style hat or a black/pewter wool flex fit baseball style hat.

So, the hat style remains the same but there will be a splash of Honolulu Blue added to the officer's repertoire until the Lions' playoff run comes to an end (hopefully with a Super Bowl trophy on February 9th).
